House Bed and Breakfast is located in the village of Trumansburg in the
Finger Lakes region of central New York State.
Trumansburg is located 15 minutes north of Ithaca, home to Cornell University,
and the Moosewood
Restaurant. The village is also five minutes from the nearest
studios on the Greater
Ithaca Art Trail and 10 minutes from the Discovery Trail,
a group of cultural institutions that offer diverse history, art,
science and natural history programs. See Ithaca Events for an
up-to-date calendar of events to plan your trip.
Main Street in Trumansburg is lined with a combination of practical
amenities and restaurants and taverns to appeal to a variety of tastes,
Kitchen, the Dorothy's
and the Rongovian Embassy.
The village is located on the Cayuga
and 15 minutes from the Seneca
Lake Wine Trail.
The wine trails are increasing populated with restaurants and
opportunities to purchase locally-grown produce and locally-made items.
McLallen House is five minutes
Park, site of a 215-foot waterfall. It is an easy 40-minute
walk from your car to the falls and back.
McLallen Street is an Italianate Victorian house built in 1855. Our bed
and breakfast has four guest rooms, each with its own bath. The house
is decorated in an eclectic Arts
& Crafts style, including Stickley
from the Roycroft
arts community and work by regional artists.
We use many seasonal farm-fresh
ingredients in our full breakfasts, served every
morning. In addition, we are happy to accommodate any dietary
restrictions. We are members of the Sweet Land Farm
CSA and frequently visit the Ithaca
Farmers Market and the Trumansburg
We are also members of the Fingers
Lakes Culinary Bounty and part of their efforts to develop
agri-tourism trails. We buy many items at GreenStar Cooperative
Market in Ithaca.
McLallen House offers a quiet oasis from the rush and noise of your
life, but we'll let you check up on the rest of the world through WiFi
available in every room.
We enjoy the natural history and cultural richness of the Finger Lakes
region. We look forward to your inquiries and can put together planned
itineraries and organize group
